| Blitz, the latest fashion find of the musci world, was born in London amidst the frequenters of night-owl hot spots. These followers - with their Leaning Tower of Pisa hairdos, heavy make-up and rounded features ( a polisex get-up perhaps?) bring immediately to mind the punk of few years ago. There's a taste for the hardcore sobriety of a T-shirt ever so simple and for the subtle perversion of an image put-on, in wanting to make oneself purposely ugly/beautiful. Then there is, in this blitz, a completly new attention to details and invetiveness ('the Venus girl', the extraterrestrial character, or the reprosed punk ). This can be seen in the Jacobin beret of the shaded colors. Up to this point, fashion. Then there's the music. here things get interesting. If it's true that the singer, musician ( in this case, rock, but the same goes for classical and jazz), has always made fashion, it's just as true that the opposite has occurred. On occasion a trend, a style, has created a force strong enough to penetrate the music world, to make proselvytes, to become the official uniform of a musical genre. Like blitz, for example. Blitz is the latest, the dernier cri. Here, too , the public has create the fashion. The rise has been fast with new singers, like Lene Lovich and the teutonic Nina Hagen. A close look at these faces - sometimes pale, other times vivacious - reveals all : eyebrows made up like your Reagan and Hollywood Star Wars.
